Creative Portfolio

The Brief
Design and build a dark-themed portfolio for a creative professional — editorial layouts, bold typography, and an interactive digital experience that pushes beyond conventional portfolio templates.
Problem
Most portfolio templates feel static and formulaic. They showcase work but don't reflect the creative energy of the person behind them. For a creative professional, the portfolio itself needs to be a piece of work — not just a container for it.
Insight
A portfolio should be an experience, not just a showcase. Users engage more when the site itself demonstrates the designer's craft through scroll interactions, cursor dynamics, and unexpected spatial layouts. The medium is the message.
Design Intent
Push beyond the horizontal and vertical planes — use scroll-driven animations, magnetic cursor effects, and dynamic element transitions to create a site that feels alive. This was a personal project built for my partner, which gave complete creative freedom to experiment with unconventional interaction patterns and spatial compositions.
Outcome
A highly interactive portfolio featuring parallax scrolling, custom cursor interactions, editorial typography, and dynamic layout transitions. The project deepened my understanding of spatial design, Framer Motion animation choreography, and the relationship between user input and visual response. It proved that portfolios can be as expressive as the work they contain.
