The Brief

Complete digital renewal for Haagse Golfvereniging Leeuwenbergh — a prestigious golf club in The Hague. The project encompassed brand strategy, design system creation, and a bilingual (NL/EN) website built from the ground up.

Problem

The club's existing website was functional but dated, failing to appeal to younger audiences (25-40) while existing older members (45-70) needed simple, clear navigation. The digital presence didn't match the prestige of the club or its GEO-certified course.

Insight

The brand needed to feel 'elegant yet warm, professional yet inviting, classic yet modern' — bridging tradition with contemporary digital expectations. Three distinct audiences (existing members, young professionals, and international guests) each had fundamentally different needs and expectations.

Design Intent

Build a minimalist luxury design system using forest green, gold, and cream. Implement Cormorant Garamond for headings and Inter for body text. Create a bilingual experience with NL/EN i18n, live course status integration, and direct booking via IntoGolf.

Outcome

A fully designed and developed bilingual website with 9 pages, 200+ translation keys, complete Figma mockups (desktop + mobile), and a comprehensive brand strategy document. Deployed on Vercel with Framer Motion animations and responsive design across all breakpoints.
